Family Trekking in Annapurna starts from Kathmandu, the city of temples. We’ll start the trip with a full day sightseeing of Kathmandu valley which includes the UNESCO world heritage sites i.e. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath temple.
After that, we drive or flight to the Lakeside city of Pokhara, a paradise of mountains, lakes, and temples. You will be exploring the most popular places in Pokhara such as Fewa Lake, David’s fall, Seti Gandaki gorge, Bindybasini Temple and World Peace Pagoda.
Our trip further continues to Annapurna area, the most popular trekking route in the world. The trek begins from Nayapul after one and a half drive from Pokhara, walking through the bamboo forests and passing a large waterfall and swimming hole and the local villages. You will reach in Ghorepani with few up and down through steep stone staircase to the large Magar village of Ulleri, Banthanti and Nange thanti.
From Ghorepani, you will be able to see the most spectacular panorama of DhaulagiriI (8167m), Nilgiri (6940m) Annapurna I (8091m) Hiunchuli (6441m) and more. The Poon is the main view point place for this trek from where you have early morning sunrise view with magnificent view of the mountain.
After wonderful trekking in Annapurna, you will enjoy your holiday with wildlife activities in Chitwan National Park. Chitwan National park located in the southern part of Nepal, land of the sub-tropical jungle which is famous for one horn Rhino and Bangle Tiger. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m/4430ft)
Upon arrival at the Kathmandu International airport, you will be picked up by our airport representative and transfer to the hotel.
After check-in, you will have a free afternoon to explore the area by yourself (if you need any assistance from us please let us know).
Later in the after you will meet one of our representatives for the briefing about your tours, at that time if you have any question or and queries could ask with us and then walk to one of the Authentic Restaurant for welcome dinner. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Full day in Kathmandu
The days start with an early morning scenic Mountain Flight. One of our representatives will meet you at your hotel according to given time then transfer to domestic airport, after office formalities you will be ready for flight.
Mt. Everest scenic flight takes you over the mountain from east to west. After the flight, drive back to the hotel. Have your breakfast. Then after refreshment, be ready for day sightseeing tours to Swayambhunath stupa known as monkey temple; a combination of Hinduism and Buddhism from when you will be able to see the good view of Kathmandu valley. Drive to Patan Durbar Square (city of living arts), Pashupatinath, one of the famous Hindus temple which is located nearby the holy river Bagmati and then drive to Buddhanath stupa one of the biggest and oldest stupas in the world.
Later in the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip meeting with your trekking guide in the hotel. Our representative will brief you regarding our trek as well as provides you the opportunity to ask any question of the upcoming trip with the guide. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (820m/2690ft) about 7 hrs
This is a natural and beautiful city, from where you can see a nice view of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu Himalayan range include Fish-tail Mountain.
It has such a nice natural lake which is located in the heart of the city. After breakfast, a short but scenic drive goes along nice agriculture field. On arrival you will have half day sightseeing tours; lake, waterfall, and cave. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Note: You can fly to Pokhara which takes 35min
Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tirkhedhunga (1570m/5150ft) 02 hrs drives and 3-4 hrs walk
An early morning breakfast drive leads on the good motorable road for about 45 Km. the journey continues along with the great scenery passing through several villages Naudanda, Kanre, and Lumle all the way to Nayapul.
On arriving at Nayapul, where our adventure begins from the warm sub-tropical region, the walk follows the Modi River upstream to Birethanti & follows the east bank of Bhurungdi Khola with scenery of waterfall, high green forest. Lunch will be served somewhere on the way at the teahouses and finally reaches to Tikhedhunga. Stay overnight at the tea houses.
Day 05: Tikhedhunga-Ullery-Ghorepani (2780m/9121ft) 5-6 hrs walks
After breakfast in the place where you spend the night, today the trail steeply ascends on the long stone steps until Ulleri village with the scenery of terrace landscape and Annapurna Himalaya.
After few hours of long hard climb with several breaks in between reaching Ulleri village, from here the path is gradual on the winding trail through the cool shade of pine and rhododendron forest, the walk continues with few short ups and downs to the Ghorepani, from where you will be able to see good view of Annapurna Mountain range. Stay overnight at the tea houses.
Day 06: Ghorepani-Tadapani (2660m/8727ft) 4-5 hrs walks
Early morning, your guide will wake you up and take you to the Poon hill after about 45 min walk from where you will be able to see the good sunrise on the mountain.
Poon Hill named after the hill tribe Pun, inhabitants of Ghorepani and surrounding area. From Poon Hill, you will see Dolpo, Mt Dhaulagiri, Annapurna including Mt. Machhapuchare (Fish tail and Manslu Himalayan range.
After short but very nice panoramic view from Poon Hill, you walk back to the hotel. After breakfast, you will continues trek to Tadapani. The walk passes through the rhododendron, Pine and bamboo frost with short up and down. Lunch will serve on the way at the teahouses. Stay overnight at the teahouses.
Day 07: Tadapani - Ghandruk (1990m/6529ft) 3-4 hrs walk
Today’s walk leads through deep forest, an hour on the gradual path to Bhasi Kharka.
From Bhasi Kharka the route goes downward with the hide-and-seek view of Annapurna and Fisthtail mountain following the rain forest and muddy path to the Ghandruk village.
On reaching Ghandruk at lunch time and as well for the night stop with enough time to explore the village and Gurung culture. This is one of the biggest towns of this trek.
Day 08: Ghandruck – Pokhara (820m/2690ft)
After a great time in the Ghandruck Village. today you descending Pokhara via Birethanti one can see mules loaded with goods en-route. Walking distance is 05 hrs to Nayapool (New-bridge) from where you are going to finish your trek and drive back to Pokhara. Stay over night at the hotel.
Day 09: Pokhara - Chitwan (4-5 hrs)
After breakfast in the morning, you will have a couple of hours guided sightseeing tours to David waterfall, Museum then drives to Chitwan National Park through the scenic countryside for Safari activities. You will have some of the activities today before the dinner. In the evening, you will have a cultural program. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Full day in Chitwan National Park
Full Day Jungle activities include jungle safari on elephant back, nature walks, jungle drive, canoe ridge and bird watching in the park having 360 sq. miles of tall grassland and thick forests. We will attempt to search out some of the elusive animals of the Terai, and with the skill of the fully will encounter the one horned Rhino, various types of deer, boar, and leopard and if we are very fortunate the elusive tiger.
Later on this evening, you will be able to watch Tharu Cultural Dance. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu (1350m/4430ft) 4-5hrs drive
In the morning, you will have one of the activities before breakfast then after breakfast, you will drive back to Kathmandu through the scenic countryside. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Note: You can fly to Kathmandu which takes 35min
Day 12: Final departure
You will transfer to the international airport for final departure. Or join next program with us.
